Sony 18-250mm DT f/3.5-6.3 High Magnification Zoom Lens

A compact, lightweight lens that is easy to carry and provides high magnification and a broad 14X zooming range, the Sony DT 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 lens (SAL-18250) is specially designed for the APS-size CCD imager of the Sony Alpha cameras. With a 35mm-equivalent range of 27mm wide-angle to 375mm telephoto, the Sony SAL-18250 excels at capturing faraway objects, outdoor performances, complex scenery and crisp close-ups.

Constructed of 16 elements in 13 groups, including ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements to rigorously compensate for chromatic aberration, the SAL-18250 offers superb sharpness and contrast even at full telephoto extension. It also offers an internal focusing system provides fast responsive auto-focusing without affecting the balance of the camera. The SAL-18250? aperture blades form a near circle at the wide openings used for low-light shots giving spot-light sources a pleasing circular defocused effect.
