Constructed of 12 elements in 11 groups, including two glass-moulded aspherical lens elements that correct visual aberrations, the SAL-24105 offers high picture quality across the entire zoom range. The SAL-24105 also features an auto clutch: the manual focus ring does not rotate in auto-focus mode while providing a solid, hands-on feel with a wider focus ring in manual focusing. The SAL-24105? aperture blades form a near circle at the wide openings used for low-light shots giving spot-light sources a pleasing circular defocused effect.
